Starry Spoon - Logo, Branding, and Food Truck Design
Starry Spoon is a fictional food truck company I named, designed, and developed. The storytelling aspect of this brand was important to me and I explored the idea of what it would be like if our experience at a food truck could be as charming and spectacular as the stars in the sky. To take it a step further, I've included 3D mockups of the food truck, to go packaging, a hand drawn signature souvenir cup, and a photoshopped mockup of a social media post.
United Workers Logo Design, Branding Guideline, and Commercial
United Workers is a fictional co-working company. Their core values are creativity, collaboration, and community. They want to create a space for businesses, workers, students, and members of the community to come together to collaborate or work solo on both their creative and business endeavors. I built this design and brand up and went a step further by creating a mock commercial with an animated version of their logo.
Shakespeare Book Cover Series
The following designs are a series of full book sleeves for three of Shakespeare's most famous works. Each one plays on the dark and tragic themes of the stories and features themes and characters who greatly influence the story line.
Shakespeare's work often plays with the idea of fate and nature, and I utilized these same themes in each cover to create a cohesive set of covers. Each design has it's own unique symbolism and elements to highlight the main theme within the story: Hamlet plays with the ideas of life, death, and power; Romeo and Juliet plays with the ideas of love, lust, and rivalry; and Macbeth plays with the ideas of revenge, conflict, and power.

Magazine Spreads
This magazine spread features an article about Introverts, Extroverts, and all the Ambiverts in between. I created custom artwork with a distinct color palette to highlight the unique and charming traits of each personality type. I wanted the text to represent the introverted side of the spectrum with a more reserved layout and the illustrations to represent the extroverted side of the spectrum with a more outgoing and enthusiastic style. Together, the juxtaposition of these two personalities come together to create something inclusive, engaging, and exciting.
This magazine spread is a short biography about Lillian Bassman, a fashion photographer and graphic designer. The images used are photographs taken by Bassman, as well as a portrait of her. Each image has been edited together to highlight her style and paired with copy written to compliment her unique skills. The layout takes inspiration from the style of Harper's Bazaar, but has been stylized to fit modern times.

Cooper's Cafe Menu
Cooper's Cafe is a fictional cafe located in Iowa. For this design, I took inspiration from the Iowa state flower, the prairie rose; the Iowa state bird, the American Goldfinch; and the Julien Dubuque Bridge in Dubuque Iowa. Cooper's Cafe is a warm, inviting, family friendly cafe happily serving both local and traveling customers. All of the artwork is hand drawn to fit the unique theming of the restaurant.
Website Design and Development
This is a site about Community Gardening that I designed and built from scratch. All of the copy was written to fit the purpose of the site, and all of the artwork was hand drawn to bring the concepts and ideas to life.
